Areas of specialty: Customer acquisition & retention across all forms of digital marketing, including pay-per-click (PPC/SEM) or paid search advertising, SEO & social media, and email marketing for mid-market companies including retailers & lead-gen B2B. Most mid-market clients spend between $50k-$300k per month. Analytics play a major role regarding all forms of acquisition. Most of my marketing decisions are based on data collection, interpretation and trend analysis.

Additional areas of focus include website development, app development and creating the blueprints for how a website and/or app needs to work for the customer as well as the internal team. I don’t typically write the code, but I write the specs and/or work with current web development platforms that do not require a programmer to code and or launch a website.

Founded & grew a full-service boutique search marketing agency to provide new customer acquisition, SEO, AdWords, campaign management and website development services. I have hired and managed over 10 employees, numerous contractors. I developed the initial version of Bizwatch, a software tool in 2000.


The Ohio State University   (2007-2008)

Fisher College of Business

Proposed, developed and re-introduced a challenge marketing course 754, for the business school. Marketing 754 addressed the need for training search marketing & social media analytics to a larger group of people beyond my own company. I developed the syllabus and taught 50+ undergraduates, many whom went onto a successful career in digital marketing, or started their own companies.
